Curtain call

And the year is coming to a close. There is so much of hope and joy in the air that I am beginning to be vertiginous. Now lets see... the much talked about was

1. LOKPAL bill which the govt managed to steer clear from getting it implemented. 
2. Pakistani model VEENA MALLICK went missing. 
3. SUNNY LEONE the pornstar came in big boss, the Indian version of big brother.
4. Ra1 the most expensive movie to be made in India was a flop.
5. TN & KL on war over MULLAPERIYAR dam.
6. CONGRESS proves again that second term will always be a disaster.
7. JAPAN faces tsunami and a nuclear reactor meltdown.
8. CYCLONE THANE hits east coast of India.
9. KOLAVERI DEE becomes a rage.
10. Managed to re-connect with my cousins and relatives via FB.
11. It was a mixed bag of good and bad experiences. Some I donot want to relive and from some I learned and some I cherish.
12. Blessed with a baby boy.
13. India lifts the world cup after 1983

Ever wondered why we have such elaborate marriage rituals? I think it is to make the couples think twice before gong through a divorce. Since the bride and groom are meeting for the first time, these rituals help the couple to step into the world of co-existence with relative ease. I am talking about the time when marriage used to be held for 3 days. Now its all capsule and the couple have been living and breeding before marrying.

I woke up to a call, It seems the cyclone has made large scale destruction in Mumbai too? I was wondering, the cyclone is actively pissing people off from BAY-OF-BENGAL them how come it created havoc in Maharashtra? The it hit me like a ton of bricks, the name of the cyclone is THANE which is also a place in MUMBAI.

True Grit

How would you feel if you woke up one day and you are on top of a tree? That would scare the crap out of anyone! Such is life, without even your knowledge you are thrust with greatness and one fine day you are wallowing in self pity. The person who can take the ups and downs in his stride is the real deal.

Death

All of you who think death is THE END, Think otherwise, its just the beginning. For all good things to end the unwanted needs to be purged out. So, when the body become obsolete then it needs to be replaced with fresh set. In the meantime the soul is cleaned and a P & L statement is taken out and evaluated. Accordingly the next session is decided. For those who do not believe in reincarnation you need to go through a session of past life regression. Google it and you will understand what it means.

What makes you kill? You've killed a mosquito, have you felt remorse? While killing a human being people feel remorse! Why? Why not for the other living and breathing creatures? I say its because of the our fear for the unknown. That which we donot understand we fear it. Thats the human nature.

Had to deal with two deaths in a weeks time. Makes you feel really humbled. Thats it, One day they are there. The next day...GONE.What I am trying to say is, "Appreciate the people around you, you never know when god will want them back."

Another experience to get your feet back to the ground is to travel in the general compartment of popular trains. You are able to witness the spectrum of people with all kinds of psyche.

Pissed

Yesterday we had a good time. The entire spectrum of HODs and Asst. HODs were there. Barring 2 ladies rest of the others got pissed. It was in a resort called TANGY.IN good hideaway!!!

School re-opens

And majority of the school re-opens tomorrow in Kerala. My son also fall in that spectrum. Its kinda nostalgic... I feel that people who say that I want to go back to my school life is and escapism from reality and responsibility. Or is it? The eternal search by man for UTOPIA has never found fruit. So he dwells in the faint hope that eventually it will come. What they fail to understand is that UTOPIA is a state of mind, bliss, elation whatever you want to call it. Heaven and hell is what you make of this life here on earth. Sometime I wonder... why is it only us humans have been bestowed upon the higher level of intelligence. I strongly believe that all animals are intelligent. But us humans are profoundly intelligent to the rest of the animal world. Is there a purpose for us being more intelligent than the rest of them?

Sunday funday!!!

The person who coined the above title needs to be thrashed... what fun for people who are working. It is true its the choice we made, that's what makes it even more fun to grumble. Saw the movie PRIEST... Kinda disappointed, the way it was portrayed I went in to see lotsa blood and gore but alas... nothing of that. The cinema hall was a relief. It was in ESCAPE cinemas. Nice modern and chic. Lets see if I can swing in for another movie...

Elections

Its election time again in Kerala, I feel its going to be a tough run up for UDF as its been officially declared the most corrupt party of INDIA... I still believe its going to be CONG in Kerala. People here are fuckin' blind. Sonia and Rahul Gandhi are coming in today to strengthen the presence of CONGRESS. I say first clean up your backyard before coming over here.

Budgets

The finance minister has thrown a googly at everyone. "LED & LCD Tvs get cheaper but hospital remains expensive, ah well atleast one can see his/her tumor in HD" Interesting way of seeing things. One can always pacify saying that overall the budget is good, is it? Today the sensex rose 600 points in a single day after two years. Thats a good sign saying the corporate world has accepted the budget. Its still not clear as to how its going to affect the layman. Interestingly no one has pointed that out. All the business channels have been talking left right and centre on this but I strongly feel that no one has even scraped the ice-berg. The repurcussions would be far fetching. Lets hope the minister has not initiated another set of suicides by the farmers.

Exit or live?

To exit or to live, the greatest question that a man faces in this materialistic world. Come to think of it is it true? Why are we intelligent? Why did evolution take a turn for us to be placed in the higher strata of the food chain? Why are the other animals not as intelligent as us?
